Installing the latest version of Java on Windows

Please print this page for reference as you will need to restart your machine after the installation.

  1. Go to http://java.com/
  2. Click on the "Get It Now" button in the "Free Download, Java software for the desktop" box.
  3. Answer "Yes" to the question "Do you want to install and run ''Java Plug-in 1.4...''?"
  4. Wait for pre-installation to occur.
  5. Accept the license agreement.
  6. Choose "Typical" installation, click "Next".
  7. Wait for installation (may take a few minutes).
  8. Reboot your computer when the installation is done.


Note:
When you first upload files you may be asked if you want to trust the signed applet distributed by Little Rock Documents. Please select "Yes" to allow the upload tool to run.
